Holiday Bazaar 2020

For over sixty years we’ve hosted a holiday bazaar here in Bloomington.

For many, walking into a crowded room full of beautiful hand-crafted items serves as an informal start of the holiday season. Although we love this experience, unfortunately, this year we must change our plans.

Instead, we will offer an on-line auction in the spirit of our Holiday Bazaar. The link to the auction is:

The auction is now open! Bidding ends on Nov. 30 at 5:00 pm.

We hope to see you all next year when the in-person bazaar returns.

Item Pick-up

Unless stated differently in the item description or if the delivery option was purchased, all items need to be picked-up on Friday (Dec 4, from 12 pm to 6 pm) or Saturday (Dec 5, 10 am to 2 pm) at our contactless pick-up service.

Pick-up in four easy steps.

Step 1: Schedule a time
After you have purchased your first item, schedule a time for pick-up at:

Many bidders will purchase multiple items at different times. You may have bought an item at the Buy It Now price and also placed a bid on a second item that is being auctioned. You will pay for the first item when you purchase it, and the second item at the end of the auction—provided you made the winning bid. Even though you have bought things at two different times, you still only need one scheduled pick-up time. All items from the same bidder will be grouped together at pick-up.

Step 2: Arrive at the church
At your scheduled time, drive to 2120 N Fee Ln, Bloomington, IN 47408. In the unlikely event that there are cars backed up in a line, make sure that you do not allow the line to extend into Fee Lane.

Step 3: Phone the volunteer
Drive up to the point indicated on the map. There will be a sign there with a phone number. Call this number and let the volunteer know you have arrived. Your items will be gathered and brought to the portico.

Step 4: Check your items
Pull forward to the portico on the north side of the church. Your items will be placed on or near a table there. Check that you have received all the correct items and load them into your vehicle.

Holiday Bazaar and Task Forces

Our bazaar benefits both the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington and three of our task forces.

Feed Our Hungry Neighbors Task Force

All of the proceeds from the sale of our items goes toward fighting hunger in Monroe County through our College Square Pantry and other organizations that deal with the issue of hunger in our community. Coming soon will be a link to see hand knit, crocheted and other items for sale.

Habitat For Humanity Task Force

Proceeds for this task force support Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County, which uses volunteers to build safe and affordable housing for local families, who work with builders and buy their homes with interest-free loans.

International Outreach Task Force

Proceeds go to support a Nairobi school, with some 500 AIDS orphans enrolled, for food, clothes, and educational supplies; and a women’s cooperative assisting women to be self sufficient.
